Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw (1914–2008) on 1 January 1973. Field Marshal Kondandera Madappa Cariappa(1899–1993) on 14 January 1986. Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh (1919-2017) on January 2002. Chief Of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat (1958-8th December 2021) on 31 December 2019.
