Lt. Gen Krishna Mohan Seth is a highly decorated officer of the Indian army who led counter-insurgency operations in Nagaland. He retired from the army in 1997.
Lieutenant General Krishna Mohan Seth retired as the Adjutant General of Indian Army and was the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura. He was commissioned in the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army and commanded the 17 (Parachute) Field Regiment between March 1979 and October 1980.
He commanded XXI Strike Corps at Bhopal, following which he was picked to command III Corps in Nagaland between October 1994 and October 1992.
Lt. Gen KM Seth was awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal in 1996 for excellence in services in all fields of the armed forces, especially for contribution towards counter insurgency operation in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. He was also awarded the best all-around student at the Defense Services Staff Courses at Wellington. Lt. Gen KM Seth was awarded AVSM for contribution towards countering terrorist activities in Ukharul District of Manipur.
