Introduction to Border Roads Organisation (BRO)

BRO's Achievements and Marvels

Atal Tunnel: One of BRO's notable achievements is the Atal Tunnel, which holds the distinction of being the world’s longest highway tunnel at 9.02 kilometers. This tunnel links Manali in Himachal Pradesh to Leh in Ladakh, significantly reducing travel time and ensuring year-round connectivity.

Rohtang Pass Road: BRO has successfully made the treacherous Rohtang Pass accessible even during heavy snowfall.

Zoji La Pass: The Zoji La Pass road, constructed by BRO, facilitates movement between Srinagar and Kargil.

Khardung La Pass: BRO maintains the Khardung La Pass, recognized as the highest motorable road in the world.

Siachen Glacier Road: BRO's endeavors have led to the construction of the Siachen Glacier Road, enabling crucial supplies to reach our brave soldiers stationed at the highest battlefield on Earth.
